Recovery Room Memphis Breaks Concert Venue Comfort Zone

Memphis is nationally known for its music scene. Concerts are a common haunt for Memphians, with alcoholic drinks usually available at most venues. For some attendees, this is the norm and their entertainment is not affected negatively. Many, however, find the bar just as enticing as the concert itself, detracting from their enjoyment of the event. And for those struggling with addiction, it becomes much more than a distraction.

After hearing many about this impossible choice from her friends and colleagues, the creator/producer of Spillit Memphis and co-owner of Amurica photography, Leah T. Keys, felt compelled to act. From these collective concerns spawned Recovery Room.

Recovery Room is a welcoming venue for all artists and attendees (address here). With a fun ambiance, the space is a smoke and alcohol free environment. This allows for unique, interactive concerts that are safe for people of all ages and backgrounds. If you’re a fan of live music in the Memphis area, be sure to visit Recovery Room for a unique experience outside of the established comfort zone of the Memphis music community.
